What enjoyed the most on this activity:I enjoyed going outdoors to take pictures instead of staying at home to do exam styled questions. This activity also allows me to explore where I live and lets me learn more about my surroundings.
Challenges Faced:I did not know what to take pictures of and I did not like people staring at me while I take my pictures. I overcame my problem by randomly taking pictures and choosing the best one.
Describe one area that i could improved on if i was given the opportunity to do it again:I would do my work and submit it earlier.

A Travelogue for Tourists and Our Future Generations
Keming Primary School |
As the school grew, it shifted to Chip Bee Garden. In 1962, the school was given notice to relocate as the owner wanted back the land. More than 30 years since its founding, the school had the honour of our then Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, to grace its official opening in 1966 at Buona Vista.
After attaining full government status in 1982, it was renamed Keok Ming Primary. In 1987, the school was relocated to Bukit Batok and was known as Keming Primary since.
Keming prides itself in exhibiting a culture of warmth, care and friendliness within and outside of the school community. We are committed to develop our students holistically, guided by our MA PIES (Moral, Aesthetic, Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Social) framework.
Bukit Batok used to be a sleepy rural area with forest, farm lands and factories. Granite quarrying was among the early activities there since the 1950s. In fact Bukit Batok in Malay means "Coughing Hills" as the blasting made the hills appear to be coughing. Public housing in the area started in the 1970s. The former Ford Factory is the venue where the British surrender to the Japanese on 15 Feb 1942. The front portion of this building has been conserved as a historical monument.
At the top of Bukit Batok hill is the site of two memorials built by the Japanese for their war dead as well as for the Allied soldiers. Both were demolished by the Japanese. Today, all that remains are two pillars and 120 concrete steps leading up to the transmission tower. The National Heritage Board had erected a plaque
highlighting the significance of the site.
